Step Up To The Challenge

Coming off of a big homecoming win against Wilmington we have our first big challenge ahead of us this Saturday in Marietta. Marietta is a team that went 8-2 in our conference last year and had a successful season. Lots of people are looking at our team and still have their doubts about us. This game in Marietta is our chance to really prove ourselves and extend our record to 4-0.

Marietta is a team that we should have beaten last year. We lost in a close game and felt that we were the better team but ultimately, we could not put it all together to come out successful. Coming into the game we are both 3-0 and looking to use this game as a statement game. Marietta lost their best player after last season but they are returning lots of their team from last year. We also lost a few pieces but still have pretty much the same team as last year.

We feel that we are not only the same team as last year but even better. This is the most unified our team has been and that is due to the new coaching staff. They are a staff that has worked endlessly to unify us as a group and we as players have definitely felt this. As a group, we believe that this is our year and we plan to keep working towards our goals. This is a big and important game for us but we look to step up to the challenge on Saturday at three o'clock in Marietta.

  1. Tough result in the game against Marietta. Every game is a learning experience; I'm sure this will only strengthen the team as you move forward. There’s still plenty of season left to show what you’re capable of, looking forward to seeing how you bounce back!
